Dr. Jennifer Yamin-Ali
Founder
Jennifer is the founder of the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation. She is a retired senior lecturer and past Director at the School of Education, UWI, St. Augustine. She has been a Teacher Educator specialising in the professional development of Foreign Language teachers. She has actively engaged in scholarly publishing including two books on education, and conference presentations. She has served in several areas of tertiary education, including as Assistant Chief Examiner of CSEC Spanish, Vice-Chairman of the Board of the St. Andrew’s Theological College, and as a member of the National Advisory Committee on Education in Trinidad & Tobago (NACETT). She is a past student and teacher of Naparima Girls’ High School where she also acted as Vice Principal. After secondment from NGHS, she served as Director of COSTATT South Centre for one year after which she moved to the UWI St. Augustine’s School of Education. She chaired the NGHS Centenary celebrations from 2007-2012, after which she founded the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation in 2012.
Camille Ramdial-Cumberbatch
Chair
Camille became Chairperson in October 2022 and was formerly Vice Chair and Treasurer of the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation. She is one of the members from the inception of the Foundation since 2012.
Camille is Governing Director of Camilleon Consulting Ltd, which has been in existence for 24 years, and is also currently consulting as the Business Manager with Camsel/The Catholic News, which is the communication arm of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
She is one of the expert consultants delivering financial planning seminars over the past eighteen years, for the Central Bank’s National Financial Literacy Programme
Camille is currently pursuing her Doctoral studies at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. She is a certified Master Financial Advisor with the international organization, LIMRA and holds a Master in Business Administration from the Edinburgh School of Business, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. She has a Diploma in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario, Canada and certificates in the areas of leadership, and communication effectiveness from Roytec, UWI-IOB, and Dale Carnegie International. She also has a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Arthur Lok Jack School of Business.
Camille is passionate about being of service and using her skills and competencies to help others. This is highlighted in her many roles in volunteer-based entities. Her former roles included:
- the Coordinator of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain’s Hope Hotline which assisted citizens in need during the Covid pandemic.
- Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Naparima Girls’ High School Centenary Committee,
- Member of Presentation College, San Fernando’s Parent Council.
- Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Cedar Grove Cooperative Society Limited,
- Member of the Association of Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago (AFETT).
- Member of the Human Resource Association of Trinidad and Tobago
Kristen Dookhoo
Director
Kristen currently holds the post of HR & Administration Manager at IAL ENGINEERING SERVICES LTD. She attended Naparima Girls’ High School from 1993-2000 and studied History, English and Spanish in Form 6. After this she pursued a BSc. in Psychology at the University of the West Indies, with Minors in Human Resource Management and Management of Information Systems. She also attained a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. Kristen has been in the field of Human Resource Management since 2003 and has over 23 years’ HR experience in the Energy Sector, as well as the Medical and Insurance Industries. She started her HR career at Guardian General Insurance Limited and has also held HR posts at Massy Energy, Schlumberger Trinidad Inc. and Southern Medical Clinic.
In her current portfolio at IAL, she is responsible for all HR, IR and Administration functions including, Competency and Training, Personnel Logistics for overseas Projects, Incident Management – including Case Management, for both the Trinidad and Guyana operations and Corporate Social Responsibility Projects. Kristen has been with the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation since its inception in 2012, and functions as the Assistant Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Social Committee Lead for the Foundation. She also assists with the Induction and Training for all appointed NGHS Non Nobis Club Executives. Kristen is also a volunteer with The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society – Southern Branch, where she holds the post of HR and OD Officer. She is dedicated to living up to the school’s motto, as well as the Foundation’s (Shine your Light for Others) and assists with Fundraising Events, Charity Kids Christmas Parties, Clothing and Hamper Distribution Drives, Disaster Relief, Training and Development of youths/ young Graduates and any other projects to assist the less fortunate. She also frequently provides interview coaching and career advice on a voluntary basis. She also enjoys reading, traveling to new places and spending time with family, especially at the beach.
Karen Bally
Director
Karen Bally is an experienced educational leader and advocate for holistic student development. As Principal of Naparima Girls’ High School, she is committed to fostering academic excellence while nurturing character, resilience, and faith within the school community.
A past Naparima Girls’ High School student herself, she is of the firm belief that that education extends beyond examinations and therefore champions initiatives that cultivate leadership, service, creativity, and moral integrity.
In her free time, she enjoys playing the steel pan as a member of her Church steel
orchestra, reading, spending time in the kitchen and travelling.
Patti-Ann Samlalsingh
Director
Patti-Ann is a past student of Naparima Girls’ High School (1993-2000). In 2004, she completed a BSc. in Management with a Minor in Finance at the University of the West Indies. She has over ten years combined experience in the fields of Finance, Business Administration and Leadership Development. Her continuous passion for learning and development has propelled her into the field of Education where she has earned a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and is employed as a teacher at Esperanza Presbyterian Primary School. Also, she is a member of Susamachar Presbyterian Church and serves as a Director of the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation.
Shanta Dhoray-Baig
Director
Shanta is currently employed at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago as the Manager in the Bank’s Statistics Department. She attended Naparima Girls’ High School from 1993-2000 and studied Economics, Mathematics and Spanish in Form 6. After this she pursued a BSc. in Management and Economics and a MSc. in Economics at the University of the West Indies, and subsequently attainted an LLb from the University of London.
Shanta can be considered a career Central Banker having joined the Bank’s Research Department in 2004 following the completion of her Master’s Degree. During her time at the Bank she has been fortunate to work not only on areas relating to Economics and Statistics, but also on the Bank’s external communications strategy and more recently on climate issues relating to the Bank’s operations. Additionally, Shanta serves as a member on the Board of Trustees of the Bank’s Pension Plan, is the Bank’s council representative at the Institute of Banking and Finance and sits on many other Bank committees.
In her current portfolio at the Bank, she oversees the compilation of critical economic and financial statistics that informs the Bank’s policy-making, economic intelligence and financial supervision functions, and participates on many cross-departmental strategic projects.
Shanta joined the NGHS Non Nobis Foundation in 2022 to contribute to promoting volunteerism in the NGHS community. As a mother of two, she is passionate about empowering children and young adults with the appropriate skills to foster their holistic development. Areas in which she is particularly interested include the environment, health & fitness and communication.
